The IT Services department is responsible for providing technology services and support programs that address the advanced technology and essential computing and communications needs of learners, faculty, and staff. The Citrix Workspace app allows for secure, unified access to all of your SaaS apps, web apps, virtual apps, files, and desktops. If your company uses Citrix, simply login with your company credentials to access all of the resources you need to be productive from anywhere. Citrix delivers people-centric solutions that power a better way to work by offering secure apps and data on any device, network or digital workspace. It is an optional download, provided on an as-is basis by Citrix to serve as an example. Before use, IT administrators must customize the scripts to suit their environment. The uninstall and install scripts may be used as noted in the upgrade guide for Citrix Workspace app for Windows. Version: 21.3.1.25 (2103.1) Checksums. From the Citrix Workspace app home page, click the plus icon at the bottom-right of the screen to launch the Add Account dialog. In the Add Account dialog, enter the store URL provided by your system administrator. Note: You can use your work email address to access resources.
Workspace is part of BCIT’s application delivery system, along with AppsAnywhere. Workspace gives faculty, staff and students in participating departments the ability to access virtualized licensed software from any device connected to the internet. Virtualization of software provides a great deal of flexibility for students to access software from anywhere on or off campus, even on their personal laptops and home devices.
To access your applications
- Through a browser – go to appsanywhere.bcit.ca and applications delivered through Workspace will show that as the Launch option in the tile.
- Through a browser – go to workspace.bcit.ca
- In the computer labs – login to the lab computer and your applications will be available from the Start Menu.
