If your company uses Citrix, install Receiver for Chrome on your device to get access to your Windows virtual desktops and applications. Receiver for Chrome can be installed on devices running Chrome OS version 37 or later. Once installed, you need to configure Receiver for Chrome to connect to your company’s Citrix servers. AppData Local Google Chrome User Data Default Preferences; and other files inside of 'AppData Local Google Chrome User Data Default' that are NOT related to the bookmarks file(s) Also, Citrix Profile Management profile is taking between 7 to 8 seconds to load (and VDI taking approximately 30 seconds to launch completely. Copy chrome.adml and google.adml in folder admx en-US to XenApp Server's file path C: Windows PolicyDefinitions en-US Open Group Policy Manager in the XenApp Server, under User Configuration - Administrative Templates - Google - Google Chrome.
With Chrome 58 and later, Chrome automatically detects if it’s running in a remote desktop environment and adjusts its settings accordingly. If you’re using Chrome 57 or earlier, first you must change the Chrome settings in the Citrix AppCenter Console. Citrix StoreFront with Google Chrome (Windows) Open Google Chrome and browse to If this is the first time you have visited the StoreFront site, or if you have recently cleared your Browsing Data, you will be prompted with the window shown below.
Solution
You’ll need to disable the Citrix API hooks for Chrome.
1.Open Registry Editor.
2.Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARECitrixCtxHook.
3.Change the value of registry key ExcludedImageNames to chrome.exe,nacl64.exe.
Note: If registry key ExcludedImageNames doesn’t exist, you need to create it. More details please refer to article CTX107825.

Disable Updates
There are two ways that can be used to disable Google Updates for Chrome.You can use the enterprise GPOs, see the next section or follow this link to disable via the registry

Unidesk recommends including the OS Type and OS bit level in the name, for Example Google Chrome 31 Win7x32. For versions remember that when choosing a layer you can see the version name but not the version description. Use naming that will allow you to differentiate versions appropriately. For example “1.0 12-12-2013”.

If you are using a GPO to disable updates just add a version to your layer and open Chrome it will automatically update.If you have used the registry setting to disable updates modify the registry setting to a number other than 0 and open chrome, it will update then you can set the registry entry back to 0.Note: If this doesn’t work for you let me know I was not able to test this in the lab.
